Donation of medical equipment to Karapitiya Hospital’s Children’s ICU ward

As a result of the takeaway Lunch packet sale held in June 2012 and cash donations made by you all, we purchased AUD 5,966.00 worth of much needed medical equipment to Karapitiya Hospital’s Children’s Paediatric ICU ward located in Galle district, Sri Lanka.

On behalf of The DOT Charitable Foundation we would like to thank you for your generous contribution and support to make this happen.

A handover ceremony took place On Saturday the 13th October, where our DOT representatives in Sri Lanka Devika and Kumara Dayasena handed over the

  • Patient Transport Trolley/Bed (LKR 389,200.00),
  • Transport Monitor (LKR 312, 800.00)
  • Portable Suction Apparatus (LKR 68, 500.00)

to Dr Manjula Hewagamage (Consultant Paediatric Intensive Care specialist) and his medical team. There was a small ceremony at the hospital which was attended by the doctors and hospital staff.
